2.671 Measurement and Instrumentation

Fall 2012

Practiced instrumentation and measurement in lab set-ups representing several aspects of mechanical engineering such as fluids, sound, mechanics, controls, biomechanics, and impulse. Main deliverable of the class was independent research project on subject of student's choice. My project tested accuracy of modern backpacking packing methods by measuring force displacement at the contact points between body and pack under different loading conditions, i.e. changing the center of mass of the pack. Project ended with full research paper and research poster presentation.
